STEAM Education is an approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking.
Using STEAM education results in students who take thoughtful risks, engage in experiential learning, persist in problem-solving, embrace collaboration, and work through the creative process. These are the innovators, educators, leaders, and learners of the 21st century!
Being apart of the academies of Ridgeland High School, STEAM students will be enrolled in their core content courses while being entwined with a cross curricular research course and electives that will round out the students school year.
Classes will utilize strategies that promote learning skills, collaboration, and communication.
We offer a wide variety of extracurricular activities; ranging from CTAE (career, technical, and agriculture education) courses, to specified history and english courses, and physical education. We have options that cater to every student's interests. Keep an eye out for scheduling!
